The Hand of Thanos

The Infinity Gauntlet was left on the stairs again. At 6:20am, on a dark staircase, I encountered it. As my right foot slid over the smooth surface of the majestic glove, my body hurled down the stairs like a rag doll. I didn’t die but if I had, I would have wanted my headstone to say “She died by the hand of Thanos” and leave it at that.

This did require a trip to the urgent clinic later in the day, when the pain became more than I was comfortable with. Doctor says that I strained the muscle, fascia and tendons of the shoulder and upper arm and also a contusion on the front wall of the right thorax. A lovely sling and meds for the next 3-5 days.

The Infinity Gauntlet may have won this battle, but the stones were tossed when I threw the glove in a fit of anger, so we shall all live another day.

Side note: Hopefully this helps to keep toys off the stairs. My youngest likes to sit and play on the stairs so there has almost always been a toy or two there.
